Lego Shows off New Touchless Screen Technology London Event

Lego just showed off its new touchless screens at a London marketing meet.
The event featured a unique gaming experience using an outdoor screen at Stratford shopping center in London. An Ocean Labs produced interactive store front works not with skin-to-screen contact, but with hand to air movements. The storefront uses mid air haptics technology from Ultraleap.

It was an incredible experience for die hard Lego fans as well as local families who enjoyed using gestures to manipulate lego bricks – put them in the air, pick them up, and use to construct cars, trains, and ducks.
The live lego building became part of the Rebuild the World campaign from the Lego Group. According to Lego’s Marketing Director in charge of the UK and Ireland, Lego group is the first company to bring the technology to the UK. “We are delighted to be the first company in the UK to use this new technology and to create a unique opportunity for families to demonstrate their creativity on such a large scale”.
