Xbox Fans Win New Game Consoles and a Surprise Adventure

It is not every day that a new game console comes into the market. Game franchise owners celebrated the Xbox Series X with a completely new way.
For a serious gamer, there is nothing better than a weekend lost in their favorite fantasy world. But cold, hard, reality is always waiting for them even as they indulge in their games.
Three gamers who each won an Xbox Series X in an OTTO competition got a little more than they bargained for. The three were picked from among people who had pre ordered the Xbox Series X to receive a free Console before it is officially launched in Germany.

When they arrived to pick their prize, they were in for a surprise. Instead of just smiling, shaking hands, and going home with their console, the winners had a surprise meeting with the main characters in the games: Cyberpunk 2077, Asasassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Gears 5. But it was not as simple as a meet and greet. They got to experience the game in real life by participating in a series of quests commissioned by the games’ main characters. Only after proving themselves in these quests did each receive their Xbox.
The Organizers wanted a break from the usual way of marketing video games with trailers and excerpts. Pulling in Maul Cosplay to bring the video game characters into life gave fans a real life experience of the game. Gamers identified strongly with their video game characters, which is probably why the three winners got so engrossed in the game.
The idea was for the gamers to live the game, and the organizers certainly succeeded. Maul’s cosplay costumes were so realistic.
Even though it took a lot of logistical planning and lots of effort to stick to the highest hygiene standards – everyone who took part had to have a Covid-19 test, the live shoot was worth it. It was a much better launch event than just surprising the three Xbox fans with a doorstep delivery.
New game consoles come into the market 7-14 years apart. The new Xbox Series X had to be celebrated in a unique way that reflects the year that is 2020. For a change, this event was more about connecting with consumers than upstaging the competition. In this time when so many people are isolated from their loved ones, gamers are still connected through the worlds of their digital heroes.
